Coding
As from September 2014, coding will be introduced into the National Curriculum to develop children's understanding of how coding shapes the virtual world and software. The government believe that coding is a skill close to literacy and numeracy in importance and soon all schools will be judged on their ability to deliver computer programming by Ofsted. Espresso has designed a module which will guide both teachers and children through coding, starting from the basics. Below you can see a video of what I coded. This simple design could be further by being made into a game. Follow the link below to explore.

Another programme that can be used is Scratch. I was able to see this being used by the children and staff in my host school and I believe it is a very useful tool which can be used to create coding for an animation.
