Children as bloggers
Blogging is becoming increasingly common within the school community. More and more children are going online to share with the world their opinions and ideas on many subjects such as fashion, books, TV programmes and politics. There are a number of blogging sites designed for children that provide some moderation and exclusivity. Teachers can use platforms like Edmodo or Kidblog to organise and monitor classroom blogs.
During FPP I intend to set up a blog with the children based on the Football World Cup. I think this will inspire them to blog with each other on the differet teams, events, countries and results. We can follow and share these in school and I hope to inspire the children to use these sites over the summer holidays to share their experiences.
